Mr. Baughman's Monthly Message
February 4th, 2008
Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members;
Parents, you all should have received your child’s 2nd quarter progress report by now. They went home on January 30th. Please be sure to call and ask to speak to your child’s teacher if you have any questions or comments regarding their 2nd quarter performance. Also don’t forget to check the teachers’ individual class pages for updates on homework, special projects, or information on how to better assist your child in achieving at the top of their potential.
Parents, please remember that we only have 17 school days prior to the students ISAT test. The Board of Education and the State ofIllinois place a great deal of emphasis on the students’ performance on this week long test. Please continue to encourage your child to attend school every day, complete all their homework, and attend their after school tutoring classes. We know all our students are very capable of excelling on this test, and with your continued encouragement they will do extremely well. The test will be held during the week of March 4th thru 7th.
Congratulations to all the parents, students, and teachers associated with Jamieson Elementary school for helping the school achieve the State of Illinois Spotlight School Award, a 2007 honor Roll School. This award is given to neighborhood school’s whose students achieve high marks, Jamieson was at 83% meeting or achieving, on the state’s ISAT test. Way to go Eagles, keep up the hard work.
Thank you. Robert C. Baughman Principal
