Mr. Baughman's Monthly Message

I would like to extend my thanks to all the parents and students for making our ISAT testing week run so smoothly and successfully. With your help and the teachers’ guidance, the testing process went as well as possible.

Spring Break begins on Monday, March 17^th and runs through Friday,March 21^st. SCHOOL RESUMES ON MONDAY, MARCH 24^TH. I hope everyone has a chance to relax and take some time to rest, catch up on personal items to be completed, and take a good break from the rigors of school and school work. Parents, it’s always a good idea to continue to encourage your child to read for pleasure. When children begin reading on a regular basis for pleasure it has tremendous positive effects in their overall success in and academic performance.

Our before and after school programs, both After School All Stars and After School Counts will be ending on Thursday, April 3^rd. Please continue to encourage your child to attend when they return from spring break.

Finally, I would like each parent to take some time to stress to their child the importance of remaining focused in school and their responsibility to continue to study and complete homework throughout the remainder of the year. School does not end after ISAT’s. Actually, the faculty continues to work very hard to help students learn and grow academically until the summer break. This time period is also used to help prepare the students for next years ISAT test.
