Mr. Baughman's Monthly Message

Parents, Students, and Community Members;

Welcome back and I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday. I want to take a moment and congratulate our ourstanding students and staff for their attendance the past two months (September and October). Both had over 96% attendance. Way to go Eagles! With strong attendance we have more time to achieve bigger and better things, both academically and socially.

We are quickly approaching the Winter recess and there will be many additional demands and expectations placed upon everyone. Please be sure that your child remains focused on their primary task, being in attendance and learning for the next 4 weeks. I really appreciate your help in this matter.

Parents, please due everything you can to take any holiday breaks around our natural calendar breaks. This will ensure continued good attendance for your child.
 

Parents, our annual Craft Fair is coming up, December 13^th and 14^th. This is a very popular and successful fundraiser for our school. The students really enjoy making many crafts to sell and equally enjoy purchasing crafts for winter/holiday gifts. Please contact us if you are interested in providing support for the event. Please set aside one of the days on your calendar to attend, it is quite impressive.

 
Finally, parents we are quickly approaching the 5th week in the 2nd quarter marking period and that means that progress reports will soon be coming home. Please check your child's teacher's class page on a regular basis for homework information and updates and if you have any questions regarding his/her current grade or effort level please call and ask to speak to the teacher.
