Mr. Baughman's Monthly Message

December 17th, 2007

Dear Parents, students, and community members;

This is the final week of school prior to our Winter Break. We will be having a full week of school this week followed by a 2 week break with students returning on Monday, January 7th, 2008.

We will be having all our before and after school programs running this week. Please be sure to remind your child(ren) to attend all of their classes.

Before the week ends, it would also be a very good idea to check with your child and their teacher as to their progress and current grade prior to the winter break. This will allow everyone a chance to make adjustments and have the student on track prior to the break.

This week will be very busy and fun for the children. Our Drama clubs Winter Assembly will be on Wednesday. This year’s production will be the Nutcracker. The 6th – 8th grade winter dance will be held on Thursday. The entry fee is two canned goods which will be donated to a local pantry on behalf of the students of Jamieson. Friday we will be having our annual 6th – 8th grade Geography Bee starting at 1 p.m. I highly encourage parents to attend. Please just check in at the front desk and seating will be provided in the balcony of the school auditorium.

Parents and students please remember is always a good idea to be engaged in some fun activities over the break. Take some time to visit the Budlong Woods library, pick out a good book or two to read while relaxing over the holiday break.

Finally I’d like to wish everyone a very happy, healthy, and safe holiday break.

Thank you.
Robert C. Baughman
Principal
