Language Arts:
Current Stories:
Zipping, Zapping, Zooming Bats
Skill Focus - Nonfiction Literature, Fact vs. Opinion

Skill Focus - Nonfiction Literature, Context Clues
Writing:
We are still writing in our journals everyday. After we write we read our stories to our classmates. Shortly, we will start to write in response to a writing prompt 2-3 times a week.
Spelling:
Spelling lists will be sent home weekly and will go along with the story we are reading. Until further notice, challenge words will count towards the test grade.
Math:
Fractions: We will be studying fractions, what they are, how to write them, how to read them, and equivalent terms
Adding 3 Numbers: We will practice addinf three numbers by finding patterns or "short cuts" to help us add faster
Subtraction with Regrouping: Please continue to practice subtraction 2 and 3 digit numbers that requrie regrouping - this is a skill we still have not mastered
Science / Social Studies:
Currently we are reading stories and studying Christopher Columbus
