March into Kindness

"We all smile the same language ."
smile :) pass it on...

* write a poem about kindness to others
*share poems with classmates
* bind poems into a book for the classroom library
* read stories or poems to seniors in a nursing facility!

how can jamieson students show kindness to others?

when someone cares for another person or a pet, they respect and treat them with kindness.

Kindness means that we let people know we care about them. We show them courtesy, we are helpful, fair, honest and truthful.

Character Trait-Fairness

Use your Knowledge and Experiences to Determine Fairness in Situations.

"don't judge a book by its cover."

1. What message is suggested by this proverb?

2. Why isn't it a good practice to judge a book by looking at the cover?  A house by looking at the outside?  A gift by looking at the wrapping paper?

3. Why isn't it fair to decide whether you will like a person by looking at their face? hair? clothing?

4. Why isn't it fair to judge a race of people based on the actions of a few?
