Ways to help your child develop reading Skills
Look for words we are studying in magazines
Play rhyming games with your child
For example Cat , Bat , Sat, Rat
Have your child tell you the individual letters and sound for the weekly spelling words.
Starfall.com is a program on the internet that works on beginning reading and math skills
Have your child find numbers around the house to help with recognizing numbers. Play Math games using cards
To help your child develop one to one corresepondence your child can pass things out such as cookies, napkins,silverware etc.
Check your child's assignment notebook everynight.
