   Welcome to Room 211's Web Page

PARENTS PLEASE ATTEND AN IMPORTANT INFORMATIONAL MEETING ABOUT SAFETY AND YOUR STUDENTS ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 27TH IN THE SCHOOL AUDITORIUM. THE MEETING BEGINS AT 7:00 p.m.

In an attmept to spread the love of learning, homework passes will be distributed at the end of the month to those students who have achieved outstanding attendance for the month of February. This means NO tardies and no more than 2 EXCUSED absences.

Language Arts Homework:
Week of February 25th-29th
LOOKING AHEAD: We will be working on ISAT review.
Monday, Feb. 25th: No homework....review for ISAT"s.

Tuesday, Feb. 26th: Read for at least 20 minutes.

Week of February 18th-22nd
LOOKING AHEAD: We will be having our in class Spelling bee on Tuesday.

Monday, Feb. 18th: No school: Presidents Day

Tuesday, Feb. 19th: Complete Character Tie worksheet. It is due as well as 6 symbols on Thursday.

Wednesday, Feb. 20th: Finish persuasive essay: Vote __________ for President.

Thursday, Feb. 21st: No homework...enjoy the "warm" weather.

Friday, Feb. 22nd: No homework.


Language Arts Homework:
Week of February 11th-15th
LOOKING AHEAD: We will be writing odes in class.

Monday, Feb. 11th: No school for students

Tuesday, Feb. 12th: No school: Lincoln's Birthday 

Wednesday, Feb. 13th: Jot down some notes for our writing activity tomorrow. We will be writing an ode and you need to come to class knowing the subject of your poem as well as a 1/2 page description of them.

Thursday, Feb. 14th: Make sure that your ode is complete and adheres to the guidelines we discussed in class today.

Friday, Feb. 15th: 1. Review for class Spelling Bee...the 4 finalists will represent us at the school Spelling Bee on Friday.  2. Novels need to be completed by Tuesday in order for us to complete our project.


Language Arts Homework:
Week of February 4th-8th

LOOKING AHEAD: We will continue with a new story in our textbook.

Monday, Feb. 4th: No homework....read for at least 20 minutes.

Tuesday, Feb. 5th: "Old Ben" Extended Response.

Wednesday, Feb. 6th: No homework...be sure to read. Excellent job of peer editing extended responses today!

Thursday, Feb. 7th: 1. Workbook pages 54-55. 2. Study for test on "Old Ben" and "Feathered Friend".

Friday, Feb. 8th: Complete workbook pages 52-53 and study for test.



Language Arts Homework:
Week of February 1st
LOOKING AHEAD: Test & quiz will be postponed until Monday, due to a large amount of absences.

Friday, Feb. 1st: 1. Study for test on "Zlateh the Goat".
2. Study for Vocab Unit #12 test.

Monday, Feb. 25th: Continue working on History Fair and begin review for Ch. 4 test.

Tuesday, Feb. 26th: Complete Study Guide and review for test.

Wednesday, Feb. 27th: Final touches for History Fair project.

Thursday, Feb. 28th: History Fair presentations in class.

Friday, Feb. 29th: History Fair presentations in class.


Social Studies Homework:
Week of February 18th-22nd
LOOKING AHEAD: We will be discussing History Fair requirements as well as begin Lesson 3.

Monday, Feb. 18th: No school: Presidents Day

Tuesday, Feb. 19th: Work on History Fair project

Wednesday, Feb. 20th: 1. Chapter 4 Lesson 3 vocabulary. 2. 15 visuals with captions are due tomorrow.

Thursday, Feb. 21st: 1. Complete Chapter 4 Lesson 3 Summary (3 main points for each section) 2. Annotated Bibliography due Monday. 3. Study for Lesson 3 quiz.

Friday, Feb. 22nd: No class due to Spelling Bee....study for Lesson 3 quiz.

LOOKING AHEAD:

Monday, Feb. 11th: No school for students

Tuesday, Feb. 12th: No school: Lincoln's Birthday 

Wednesday, Feb. 13th: Board game presentations in class today went very well....continue to work on your History Fair projects.

Thursday, Feb. 14th: Continue working on History Fair projects they are due soon!!

Friday, Feb. 15th: No class....Dance in gym!! Be sure that you are using your time wisely and working on the final touches of your History Fair project. Do not worry adout Tuesday's due date....we will discuss the Summary Statement Form in class!


Social Studies Homework:
Week of February 4th-8th
LOOKING AHEAD: We will begin Lesson 2 and continue working on History Fair.

Monday, Feb. 4th: 1. Complete vocab assigned in class for Chapter 4 Lesson 2....varies by group.  2. 5 visuals for History Fair project due tomorrow.

Tuesday, Feb. 5th: Group 2 & Group 1: Summarize the first 4 sections of Lesson 2 with 3 main points for each section.
Group 3: Sumamrize the first 2 sections with 2 main points for each section.

Wednesday, Feb. 6th: Complete summary of Lesson 2. There will be a quiz on the lesson on Friday.

Thursday, Feb. 7th: 1. Study for Chapter 4 Lesson 2 quiz.
2. 8 sources are due for History Fair tomorrow.

Friday, Feb. 8th: Use this long weekend to work on your projects....History Fair and Board Game or brochure. Your 10 visuals are also due on Wednesday.

LOOKING AHEAD: Chapter 4 Lesson 1 quiz postponed until Monday.  

Friday, Feb. 1st:
 1. Review for quiz. 2. Continue work on History Fair project as well as class project.
 












There are several students who still need to submit their school fee...please get this turned in as soon as possible. 

Parents please be sure to send a note with your child when they return to school from an absence. Nine unexcused absences for the year will result in mandatory summer school!!
