Learning First testing will take place on Monday, April 28th, and Tuesday, April 29th. Please see to it that students arrive to school on time so that the testing process is not delayed. Students should get a good night's rest and eat a nutritious breakfast so that they may perform their best!!

LOOKING AHEAD: We will be going back to our textbook to read a story.
Monday, May 12th: p. 536 # 1, 4, and 5. Be sure to answer in complete sentences.

Week of May 5th-May 9th
LOOKING AHEAD: We will finish reading our novel, Number the Stars, this week and will be taking the final test.
Monday, May 5th: Read Ch. 16 in Number the Stars.
Tuesday, May 6th: We finished reading the novel today in class and everyone had some very insightful thoughts about what they liked most about the novel. Begin to review for the final test, which will be on Friday.
Wednesday, May 7th: Answer the following questions: 1. Waht are the characteristics of a best friend? (Name at least 5). 2. How do friendships change over time? We will discuss these tomorrow and explore the theme of friendship in our novel.
Thursday, May 8th: Study for final test on "Number the Stars"
Friday, May 9th: No homework...thanks for a great day!!

LOOKING AHEAD: We will be having a debate in class. The topic is: Video Games: Are they too violent and do they send the wrong message?
Thursday, May 1st: 1. Finalize research for debate tomorrow. 2. Complete diamante poem.

LOOKING AHEAD: We will begin Lesson 2.
Monday, May 12th: Complet ethe first 6 vocab words of lesson 2.
Tuesday, May 13th: Summarize the first 2 sections of Lesson 2 with 3 main points.

Week of May 5th-May 9th
LOOKING AHEAD: We will go over the Chapter 9 tests and work on some culminating activities.
Monday, May 5th: Do as the Greeks...go outside and enjoy the warm weather!!
Tuesday, May 6th: We completed our drawing of the most interesting thing that was learned in Chapter 9 and passed back the tests. Students must obtain a parent's signature if they received a 70 or below. You may check updated grades online.
Wednesday, May 7th: Complete the analogies we started in class.
Thursday, May 8th: Complete Chapter 10 Lesson 1 vocabulary and read the lesson.
Friday, May 9th: Complete summary of Lesson 1.
