Language Arts Homework:
Week of January 28th-January 31st
LOOKING AHEAD: We will be reading "Zlateh the Goat" this week and having a test.

Monday, Jan. 28th:
Vocabulary Unit #12 is due on Wednesday.

Tuesday, Jan. 29th: 1. Vocab Unit #12 is due tomorrow. 2. Write a persuasive speech from Aaron's point-of-view. You must site 3 reasons why Aaron's father should not sell Zlateh.

Wednesday, Jan. 30th: 1. Rewrite Zlateh the Goat Persuasive Speech. 2. Review for Vocab Bee. 3. Wkbk. pages 44 and 45.

Thursday, Jan. 31st: 1. Study for "Zlateh the Goat" test.
2. Study for Vocab Unit #12 test.  3. Workbook p. 41.

LOOKING AHEAD: We will be presenting an excerpt from Martin Luther king's speech, "I Have A Dream" on Tuesday.  

Monday, Jan. 21st: NO SCHOOL

Tuesday, Jan. 22nd: No homework

Wednesday, Jan. 23rd: Complete pgs. 6-7 in Junior Scholastic.

Thursday, Jan. 24th:
Complete page 8 in JS.

LOOKING AHEAD: We will be having a test on "Aaron's Gift" and "Water" on Tuesday.

Monday, Jan. 14th: 1. Complete workbook p. 38.
2. Study for Literature test.  

Tuesday, Jan. 15th: Begin memorization of Martin Luther King Jr. speech excerpt....it is due for presentation next Tuesday.

Wednesday, Jan. 16th: No homework.

Thursday, Jan. 17th: Grammar p. 315: Exercise #1.

LOOKING AHEAD: We will be having a test on "Aaron's Gift" and "Water" towards the end of the week.

Monday, Jan. 7th: Review and Assess Questions, p.119. Answer #1, 5a, 5b in complete sentences.

Tuesday, Jan. 8th: Finish writing essay: "New Year Resolution".

Wednesday, Jan. 9th: 1. Review Questions on p. 123,  #1-5. Be sure to answer in complete sentences. 2. Final draft of "New Year Resolution" is due on Friday.

Thursday, Jan. 10th:
Final draft of "New Year Resolution" due tomorrow.

Friday, Jan. 11th:  Workbook pages 37 and 39.

Social Studies Homework:
Week of January 28th-January 31st
LOOKING AHEAD: We will begin Chapter 4 in our text book. Remember to keep up with you History Fair due dates.

Monday, Jan. 28th:
Complete Chapter 4 Lesson 1 Vocabulary.

Tuesday, Jan. 29th: Decide on your class project...brochure or board game. Remember to pace yourselves this is due on February 13th. You should also be working on your History Fair project, there is a due date on Thursday.

Wednesday, Jan. 30th: 1. Chapter 4 Lesson 1 Summary: Identify 2 main points for each of the 5 sections. 2. History Fair: 5 annotated sources due tomorrow. They MUST be typed.

Thursday, Jan. 31st: 1. Study for quiz on Chapter 4 Lesson 1.



Social Studies Homework:
Week of January 21st- January 25th
LOOKING AHEAD: We will be having a test on Chapter 3 on Thursday.

Monday, Jan. 21st: NO SCHOOL

Tuesday, Jan. 22nd: 1. Finish p. 97 if you did not do so in class. 2. Complete Ch. 3 Study Guide. 3. Bring sources to class tomorrow so that we can go over how to properly do an annotated bibliography.

Wednesday, Jan. 23rd: Study for Chapter 3 test.

Thursday, Jan. 24th:
Continue working on History Fair.

Friday, Jan. 25th: NO SCHOOL.  



Social Studies Homework:
Week of January 14th- January 18th
LOOKING AHEAD: We will begin Chapter 3 Lesson 3 and could possibly have our Chapter 3 Test on Friday.

Monday, Jan. 14th: Ch. 3 Lesson 3 Vocab.   

Tuesday, Jan. 15th: Complete Chapter 3 Lesson 3 Summary.

Wednesday, Jan. 16th: No homework.

Thursday, Jan. 17th: 1. One page History Fair proposal due tomorrow. 2. Study for Lesson 3 Quiz and be sure that the Lesson Review (p.95) is complete.

Friday, Jan. 18th: Workbook pages 21-22.  


Social Studies Homework:
Week of January 7- January 11th
LOOKING AHEAD: We will be discussing History Fair requirements and having a quiz on Lesson 2.

Monday, Jan. 7th: No homework.

Tuesday, Jan. 8th: Complete Ch. 3 Lesson 2 Summary.

Wednesday, Jan. 9th: Study for Lesson 2 Quiz...it will be on Friday.

Thursday, Jan. 10th:
No classes due to GREAT presentations.

Friday, Jan. 11th:  Study for Lesson 2 Quiz...postponed until Monday.



There are several students who still need to submit their school fee...please get this turned in as soon as possible. 

Parents please be sure to send a note with your child when they return to school from an absence. Nine unexcused absences for the year will result in mandatory summer school!!
