     Welcome to
        room 211

Welcome to the 2006-2007 school year! I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing summer vacation. My name is Mrs. Zlatkovic, or Mrs. Z, and I will be teaching  6th grade Social Studies to all of the students and Language Arts to those students that are in my homeroom. I look forward to a positive and very successful year. Sixth grade is a benchmark grade and therefore it is essential that everyone get off to the right start.

As a sixth grader you should be prepared for exciting learning opportunities, interesting field trips, participation in the History Fair, and many other activities and challenges. In order to make this a successful year for everyone, you should strive to be prepared for all of your classes and come with an enthusiasm to learn.

Teachers are here to help you, but you must be willing to participate in the learning process. If at any time, there are any questions or concerns by students or parents/guardians I can be reached via e-mail at:
zzlatkovic@cps.k12.il.us

We will also be having a student teacher for the majority of the first quarter. Miss Christine Switski attneds Chicago State University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in the field of education.

On this website you will find homework that is assigned and important announcements. Please keep this website handy to check on any updates.
