Welcome to Jamieson’s LSC Page
The Local School Council (LSC) is a way for the stakeholders at the school to have a voice in decision-making at the local school level. Members of the LSC are elected to serve a two year term. There are twelve representatives on the LSC including the principal (1), non-teaching staff (1), teachers (2), parents (6), and community members (2). Elections were held in 2012 and the following are the LSC members for the 2012 and 2013 school years:
- Principal: Robert Baughman
- Teachers: Christy McGowan (Special Education) and Robert Newton (8th Grade)
- Staff: Jeannette DiMuzio
- Community Members: Georgia Droulias-Schwartz (Secretary) and Angel Marhoefer
- Parents: Leah Carter, Kevin Deuschle (FOIA/OMA Officer), Angie Fousias, Joshua Freedland (Chair), Peter Kassis, Kelly Sherman
The LSC’s primary responsibilities are to approve discretionary spending at the school level, approve the Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP), and hire and evaluate the principal. The LSC has meetings typically the last Thursday of each month held at the school library at 7:00pm throughout the year and are open to the community.
2012-2013 LSC Meeting Dates: Meetings are held at 7 p.m. in the school library. and are subject to change, please check the principal post for updates.
