Students interested in participating in the Battle of the Books should pick up a permission form today after school in the library.

There will be a short meeting for all crossing guard members immediately after announcements in Rm. 208.

After School Counts and After School All Star permission slips must be returned by Monday. All AFC/ASAS programs will begin on Monday.  Please check the schedule.

Picture retakes will be held on Oct. 17. Students are required to bring the first set of pictures back to school if retakes are to be taken.

Congratulations to the Jamieson girls' 5th-8th volleyball teams on their victories yesterday over Trumbull School.

Cross Country practice will begin at 3:00 today. 
Area track meet will be run during the week of October 13.

Any student interested in joining Art Club please get a permission slip from Mrs. Franco right after announcements today.

Congratulations to the Girls' 5th-6th and 7th-8th gr. Volleyball teams on their winning games.

Thank you to students who are participating in the Garden clean-up and planting in preparation for our Garden dedication on Friday.

Students with parts as orphans and maids in "Annie" who wish to tryout for speaking parts should meet in Rm. 201 on Thursday, Oct. 2 after school.

Students interested in participating in the before school Music House program should return the permission slips by Friday.

5th-8th Grade Girls volleyball team members will have a very short meeting today, immediately after school, in room 216 prior to leaving for the game.

Sept. 29, 2008
There will be a Flag Football meeting today for 5th-8th grade participants after school in the gym.

Gyn shirts will be going home today.  If you have any problem, you MUST return the gym shirt tomorrow in theoriginal  bag with your name and room label

Any class not yet sized for gym shirts, will be sized today.

Today are tryouts for "Annie" at 2:45 in the music room.  Please be prompt. This is only for 7th-8th graders.

Grs. 6-8 will please wait until called to come to the Bears assembly this afternoon at 1:00.

Rehearsal for the multicultural program will  take place today after school from 2:45-3:45 in Rm. 201.

All Fall coaches should have uniform orders complete and turned in to Mr. Kusch or Mr. Baughman by Wed.

There is no school on Friday, there will be an optional cross country practice Wednesday morning at 7:45

Sept. 22, 2008
Sport games will begin next week.  However, students who have not yet turned in their physicals will not be allowed to play until physicals are turned into the office.  Please do so as soon as possible.

Students are not allowed to ride bikes to school or chain them to the fences. Please check the assignment notebook for other items that should not be brought to school.

Only students in Grs. 7-8 will tryout for speaking parts in "Annie". Tryouts will take place on Thursday, Sept. 25 in Rm. 201 from 2:45-3:45.  Please bring permission slips or you will not be allowed to try out.
All 6th grade students interested will be city people in the play.

Students involved in the multicultural program will have a rehearsal on Tues., Sept. 23 after school in Rm. 201 from 2:45-3:45.  Please bring CD's, music, and permission slips.

Tomorrow is BEARS DAY at Jamieson. Player Dusty Dvoracek will be visiting Jamieson students.  Everyoe may wear Bears attire to support out local team.

Any 7th-8th grade girls interested in playing basketball this year will meet on Mon., Sept. 22 at 2:50 in the gym.

There will be a short meeting today in Rm. 201 after school for Drama  Club members interested in trying out for "Annie".  Please pick up permission slips at that time.

Sept. 16, 2008
A reminder to those involved in the multicultural program to meet in Rm.  210 for a short meeting this afternoon.  Also, the students who wish to be in "Annie" will pick up permission forms tomorrow after school  in Rm. 201.

There will be a brief meeting in Rm. 211 Wednesday after school.  Practice will begin on Thursday after school in the gym.

There will be a meeting for all the students involved in the multicultural program on Tuesday after school for 15 minutes in Rm. 201.

Drama Club students who are interested in being in "Annie" are to pick up permission slips on Wednesday at a short meeting after school in Rm. 201.

There will be 5th-8th soccer tryouts Thursday after school at Legion.

All sport forms, including rosters should be turned in to Mr. Kusch today.

Cross Country practice will be held Wednesday right after school for all boys and girls--5th-8th grade.  Meet at the steps near the back door of the building.

Selective Enrollment High School Meeting:
On Saturday, Sept. 13th at 10 a.m. in the school auditorium there will be a meeting for any interested parent of a 6th or 7th grader on the requirements and procedures for applying to a city selective enrollment high school like North Side College Prep.

Parent Advisory Council (PAC):
9/25 at 9:30 a.m. in the school auditorium.

Bilingual Advisory Council (BAC):
10/8 at 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.

First Day of School: Tuesday Sept. 2nd
New Jamieson Students will Report to the Auditorium @ 8:45
Returning Students will line up on the playground according to LAST year's homeroom.

Kindergarten Parents & Students:
On September 2nd, you and your child will meet in the Auditorium at 10:00A.M.  for an introduction to Jamieson. You will attend class with your child until 11:15 A.M. and then be dismissed. Regular attendance times will occur from Sept. 3rd on.
