Summer Updates – July 2012
Dear Parents, students, and community members,
For the remainder of the summer, our office hours are: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
Registration for the fall term will be held only on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m., starting on July 30th through August 22nd. (July 30, Aug. 1,6,8,20, and 22).
The week prior to school starting we will hold registration on Monday August 27th, Tuesday August 28th, and Wednesday August 29th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Don’t forget that school starts on Tuesday, September 4th. Our new longer school day hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Students should arrive on campus by 8:15 on the first day of school.
As we enter the middle of July, I wanted to update everyone on the happenings at Jamieson. I’d first like to welcome Ms. Susan Paik, our new assistant principal to the Jamieson Community. Ms. Paik has taught mathematics for seven years before becoming an administrator. She studied further and obtained a Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education from DePaul University, and a Juris Doctorate from DePaul College of Law. Ms. Paik loves to work with children and teachers and is so glad to be at Jamieson where she can utilize her skills and talents. She is looking forward to meeting everyone involved in the Jamieson community.
I’d also like to congratulate our First inductees into the National Junior Honor Society:

Registration for the 2012-2013 school year will begin on August 3rd. More details will be available on this web page and our marquee when times and additional dates are determined. We have already updated our school calendar; please take time to review upcoming important dates for the month of August and the entire school year.
