WEEKLY ASSIGNMENTS
Math homework is assigned on a daily basis.
Reading: Students you have reading homework everyday. You should be reading 20 to 30 minutes each day at home. You may read books from the neighborhood library, books from our school library or books that you own. Read books from the different genres (adventure, science fiction, historical fiction, folk and fairy tales, mystery, sports, realistic fiction, non-fiction, mythology, poetry). You may read silently or read orally to someone else. Read about topics that you enjoy,
Students are given a leveled reader to take home and read every Friday.They are to read it and answer the five questions in the back using complete sentences. Please return the book and the work on Monday.
Time For Kids magazine is given to the students every Friday. They are to read it and turn in the assigned work every Monday. The assignment usually consists of completing page 4 of the magazine and a worksheet!
Spelling Tests are on Fridays.
