Vision: The Library Media Center serves as an integral part of Jamieson School’s educational program. A certified school library media specialist administers the library program and provides Information Literacy education through collaboration with classroom teachers. Library services promote a love of reading, support and enrich the curriculum and encourage life-long learning.
Mission: The mission of the Jamieson Library Media Center is to provide its patrons access to age-appropriate information, promote a love for reading, and develop effective and efficient users of ideas.

Jamieson’s 2013 Monarch Winner
The results are in!!

The Jamieson Monarch Book Award Winner for K-3 is:
Even Monsters Need Haircuts

This book came in third place for the state of Illinois.
The Illinois state Monarch winner was:

Devin Shafron Memorial Book Fund
The Jamieson Library recently received $500 in FREE, brand new library books from the Devin Shafron Memorial Book Fund.
In February, students wrote hundreds of thank-you notes to Dr. Shafron, Director of the organization, thanking her for the donation.
Dr. Shafron responded with a wonderful letter.
